Karl Wait lives in Wooler, Northumberland.
His outdoor activities include Fell/Mountain Running, Mountain Climbing, Wild Camping, Kayaking, Climbing, Wild Swimming, Guided Walks and most other things in the outdoors.

As well as taking part and  working on Outdoor/Mountain events as an organiser, marshal and leader Karl also works in the waters of the UK, delivering Coasteering Sessions and wildswimming ,

Karl also provides in water safety for events and TV media productions, putting together Risk assessments and delivering safety briefings for the crew and presenters.
Karl regularly provides training in Mountain Skills and navigation in the hills and mountains around the UK as well as safety in the hills.

He is a member of the BMC (British Mountaineering Council) and the Mountain Training Association and is a fully qualified Summer Mountain Leader and is a warranted Scout/Cub Leader with the Baden Powell Scout association (DBS checked) and holds a ITC First Aid in the Outdoors Certificate and a BPSA Safety in the hills qualification.
Karl is also a NNAS (National Navigation Award Scheme) qualified tutor.
From 2018 Karl has been A member Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team NNPMRT )
